Created by Ade Hassan, Nubian Skin is a lingerie and hosiery range for women of colour. It was launched in 2014 due to the frustration that there was a lack of skin tone choices to go with varieties of outfits for women.
The brand’s ethos is to empower and embrace people of colour, but at the same time influence women to feel sexy in lingerie, and hosiery specifically tailored towards them.

The brand carries a collection range for both lingerie and hosiery. For their lingerie line, Nubian Skin offers the classic lace push up bra, ideal for a romantic night out; they also have the strapless convertible bra and the essential t-shirt bra for everyday wear. All bras are available up to the size 40DD.
Their hosiery collection is available in 10 deniers in four delectable flavours: Berry, Cinnamon, Caramel and Café Au Laît. These give the legs an immaculate, and natural complexion, as well as the airbrush effect, is given by the subtle sheen left on the matt hosiery.
The company are also one step ahead of the herd by taking the plunge in launching curve hosiery for plus size women of colour. Available in matt 15 denier the sizes are accessible in including 3XL, in the following flavours: Caramel, Cinnamon, Berry, and Café Au Laît. These are elegant, stylish and practical, designed with the fuller figure in mind.
Gone are the days of not being able to find the right “nude” for your Nubian Skin ladies, skinny or curvy, women of colour can now find hosiery both in their tone and size!
