The island is simply astonishing. Everything about the resort oozes warmth and comfort, from the hospitality, décor, architecture and even its surroundings showcases nature in its fullest capacity; it’s no surprise it is rated four stars.

Accommodation varies, and the choice is often determined by preference. There is the standard, premium, house or family options. There are three choices for accommodation; the khuyu, Mbungu, and Msekwa. If the sound of the waves of the ocean and the fading rays of sunset light up your soul, then the Khuyu is the perfect choice for you. It is the first chalet on the beach with the added advantage of being closest to the bar and the restaurant. It is the ideal choice for a romantic getaway for couples. The room is very airy and the showers very convenient for use. There is also a deck for relaxation.

The second chalet on the beach is the Mbungu. Surrounded by rocks and trees, it is excellent for those who love to see sights from a higher perspective. To further enjoy the surreal view, there is a private seating area. It is a secluded chalet with a passage below it leading to the lake.
The Msekwa is definitely picture perfect. Located at the edge of the lake, it blesses you with a closer view and feel of the ocean. The most noteworthy characteristic is the presence of an underground bath & shower area also accompanied with a private seating also. The premium rooms are four in number. They are; Nhkwazi, Mbamba, Mackengulu and Ngani.

The Nhkwazi possesses three slit level decks as well as a pool. There is a seating area for two, graced with fantastic views to boot. The Mbamba has a 360-degree view of the lake. It is ideal for relaxation by the pool or under the shade of the Fictus tree. The Mackengulu can be located after climbing the beautiful wooden bridge. The room leads to a deck, and a jetty is available to enjoy the views of the lake.
The Ngani is distinct as it is on the second beach with the bed slightly raised up slightly giving visitors the beautiful view of the lake.
The houses, on the other hand, are three in number; Madimba, Mainja, and Ndomo. The Madimba, a large house at the far end of the Kaya Maya beach is a beauty to behold. It’s graced with a large sized bedroom, twin showers and a bath with a deck and a view of the pool. Its brown marbled walls give it that rugged but homely appeal. The Mainja, on the other hand, is a two bedroom house stylishly furnished in Tanzanian style. A bridge connects the Mainba to the Madimba. There is also a pool for relaxation and enjoyment. Honeymoon couples particularly prefer this house.

The Ndomo is a large house made up of three en suite bedrooms and a twin room suitable for children because the bathroom is close to it.
