BLACK UP is one brand that is super pigmented and work beautifully on dark skin tones. This brand was founded by French African Makeup Artist Bernard Fabrice Mahabo, and it is the first-ever luxe beauty brand created for women of colour.

Black Up’s products claim to enhance dark skin tones, instead of just matching them and from my personal experience the CREAM TO POWDER FOUNDATION, MATTIFYING LIQUID FOUNDATION, and the CONTOURING STICKS are awesome.

IMAN Cosmetics created by Supermodel Iman is a pioneer in the field of ethnic cosmetics and another brand that is getting it right with the undertones….probably because she is African, so she understands, and has a wealth of knowledge about the African black, beautiful, rich in melanin, and different undertones skin is.

My all time favourite product from IMAN is the luxury pressed powder, this powder gives an exquisite, flawless glow and some of their newest product is the luxury contour pallet, luxury moisturising lipstick, and luxury shimmer lipgloss. We certainly can’t wait to try them out.

7. MAKEUP FOREVER

MAKEUP FOREVER has a broad range of foundation shades in the Ultra HD formula. These much-loved foundations are Oil free and deliver an airbrushed finish for all skin tones.
