Poised above Accra, on the upper levels of Ghana’s infamous Icon House, Carbon, Africa’s first luxury lounge-club run entirely by women has opened its doors.
Guests enter into a magical world of mystery, stylish surrealism and neo-nightclubbing, where surprises await at every corner.
Carbon is all about hedonism, opulence and pleasure. The interior is dark and bold, adorned with faceted mirrors, brass detailing and rich velvet lounges. Whether inside on the dance floor, ordering from the in-house mixologist or outside enjoying the rooftop terrace’s floor to ceiling foliage, outdoor lounging or swings, this is the place to expect to encounter the unexpected and experience nightlife as never before at a decadent destination.

The club, spread over interconnected spaces, is the brainchild of YOLO experiences, who have been setting the new standards in the arena of fine dining, art, lifestyle and design in Africa.
Joining forces is the legendary nightlife entrepreneur Nick House (Whisky Mist, Mahiki, Steam and Rye and Punchbowl), Luxury lifestyle PR Firm ‘JPR Media Group’ founder Jessica Patterson (Circus, Muga, Beaufort House and Raffles) and London-based architectural practice Blacksheep (Whisky Mist and Boujis in Hong Kong).
Emeline Nsingi Nkosi, who recently relocated to Accra to work for a Television channel, covered the event.
