Steeped in history

The hotel, which was built in 1876 has stood the test of time. French architect, Henri Blondel and his son-in-law, Charles Garnier created the hotel’s unique design, while renowned painters of the time – Laugée, Faustin-Besson, Luminais and Mazerolle were responsible for the interior décor.

Interior designers, Sybille de Margerie and Jacques Garcia have done an exceptional job in adding contemporary touches to the hotel’s décor without distorting the historical heritage and traditional charm.

Another magnificent feature, at the entrance of the hotel are the two towering candelabras, made of gilded bronzes. The candelabras are unique because of its size and were given to the hotel from a palace in Saint Petersburg in the early 20^th century.
