The limited edition Continental GT Convertible Galene Edition has been unveiled at the 2017 Cannes Yachting Festival which took place this September.
The new convertible has a Glacier White exterior, a flash of Sequin Blue on the lower brightware, darkened front and rear lamps, bespoke illustration from Jaume Vilardell, quality hand-stitched seats and door panels.
This is the latest collaboration involving Bentley Motors and Princess Yachts, two British luxury and performance-focused companies. While Bentley’s commissioning division, Mulliner was involved in the design, the convertible was inspired by the design and craft of Princess Yachts’ super yachts.
Kiran Jay Haslam, Marketing Director Princess Yachts said, “Princess are delighted to be working with Bentley on this unique project. There is an incredible synergy between our two brands from the exceptional customer experience Bentley provides to the craftsmanship and uncompromising approach to detail found on every Princess yacht. It is a fitting opportunity for two British brands that both combine luxury and performance to collaborate, and some of the special features on this car are breathtaking.”
For this project, Mulliner crafted an entirely new material finish for the central console.
This project follows an announcement by Princess and Bentley Motorsport of a three-year sponsorship deal. According to the announcement, Princess branding will feature on the livery of the 2017 Continental GT3 as it participates in races around the globe; it also included ongoing joint activities aimed at connecting luxury yachts and motor racing with the goal of creating unique experiences for global customers of Princess Yachts and Bentley Motors.
